Not as bad here as other places... but not good. We at least got a decent hay crop in - sufficient for our needs and a boon to the real farmer we have do the cutting and baling for us. We need rain. We've actually been in drought status in terms of measurable rainfall since last Fall. We need 9-15 inches of rain, falling slowly, over a period of weeks. We're in glacially-scoured loess hills with clay and limestone layers just below the surface. A lot of rain fast just makes water plants along...
