Everyone has a story to tell, Like everyone has a testimony - but  some of them was delivered from

the hands of the enemy, not by their own might, but by the power of God!

My Testimony, A mother of 7 lovely children, and a hard working woman, but yet a battered and abused wife married to a man that I had no Idea, he would turn out like he did. I worked two jobs and on the 30th day of October 1991, our house went into foreclosure without my knowledge I took care of all the utilities and he took care of the mortgage or  what he was supposedly to have done, well I had the day off we got a letter in the mail it was a letter of foreclosure, when I confronted him that evening with it, he became angry, He had not paid the mortgage in four months. I knew he like the horse race and dog race, I should have known that he had became a compulsive gambler, well, I called the Finance Company to try and pay it myself, but because it was not in my name they refused the payment even after I had sent them the money. They sent back saying that he had to pay, I didn't understand being that I was his wife. Well, I didn't know what else to do but tell him, then he became violent when he got home, I had just finished dinner. The children were at the table eating - he stood by the table and pushed it and the table had just missed hitting my son in the chest. The children all got frightened, that night I began to cry out and pray not really knowing how, but my words were; Lord if you get me and the children out of this I will go anywhere you tell me, I'll do what you tell me to do, I'll say anything that you tell me to say, even if it's to the President himself, and I meant every word of it; The next morning it was Oct 31, 1991, as we all got ready for the day, I was in the dining room and he came in and said when you get paid bring me all of your money, I asked why? I said, I have to get groceries there no food, he then grabbed me by my neck and raised me up with my back towards the wall, and said if you don't I will beat the .... out of  you.I was frightened by his threat, but after a few months before of going through his verbal abuse, he became physically violent. I couldn't take it no more, I knew that there had to be a better way, and I knew that I was better than that, I had come to my senses, I knew I wasn't raised in that type of environment and I didn't have to live that way, nor our children. I knew I had to do something to get us out; for my children safety as well as my own. I couldn't go to work after being hit numerous of times that morning, after he went to work and the children went to school. I went to the police department and filed a police report, one of  the oficer's that was taking the pictures of my face, asked if I had make up on? I said no you can wipe my face if you'd like. He did and said Oh My God, Your Bruised bad, after he took pictures of me, he told me not to go back to the house without a police escort to get our things. I didn't, I do know that God will make a way of escape if your sincere in your heart and mind, well I went to a safe place, I asked my mother to pick up the children after they got out of school and bring them where I was. That day is when God brought us out, he had heard my cry. And unto this day I have kept my vow to the Lord and I won't take it back. Before I take a vow back that I made unto the Lord, I will add more to it.
