EA has decided to stop any further Franchise mode

In a new announcement, EA Sports told IGN:

We do not like to make comments on rumors or speculation. However, we're dedicated to continuing to improve Franchise as part of our ongoing Madden NFL 22 live service and beyond. The two updates are part of the Franchise updates which we'll release within Madden NFL 22. We will have more details regarding the updates in the coming year.

It partly cited IGN's own conversation with Madden 22 executive producer Seann Graddy, who said that this year's content plan is "slightly less ambitious than those of the past" since the team is focused on a handful of key areas rather than attempting to develop content on the scale of Superstar KO, a well-received arcade mode released in Madden 20.
