For my first edition, Brannan Vines founder of Family of a Vet and I will be discussing the impact of social media in the veterans community.
I started my blog in 2007, about 9 months before Brannan. We began communicating online in 2008 the year her blog came out; we began writing as a way to vent and support one another where no help was to be found. Little did we know we were on the cusp of the public finding out the real veteran story and that we would have a part in it.
Over the years we have banded together to form a Cross-Generational grassroots patchwork of veterans and especially family members, organizing from all wars through the internet.
