Do you have the option of OSRS gold for sale selling it back so that you can afford a skill goal , like 85 herblore? No. Assuming there are no funds at all then there's nothing he can sell back. Do you have the potential to make more money by the time you spend on it? Yes. - There's no way you'd be able to earn enough money from BCP in the amount of time needed to acquire a torso.
In conclusion: Torso is not worth getting. Period. When you're not able to have cash available it's a great alternative. The only issue I see for slayer is the small reward for prayers. The loss of defence bonus very small. Are you able to prove it? The average income for a moneymaker is approximately 1m per hour. It will take an inexperienced players about that long to master BA and at that point, you'll have enough money to buy BCP.
I've never stated that the def bonus matters. If you read my previous threads, I'm a fan of str to def anytime on a week. The fact is that you can't trade the torso to another person, so this point is not significant. I'm sure that the "average" money-maker makes much less than 1m an hour. There are just a handful methods to can make that amount.
There were so many bots on AZs that I barely managed to earn 50k/hr. Most slayer tasks offer up to 80k+ of xp per hour. I'm not aware of any single slayer task with a rate of 80k xp/hour. Just click at the right moment at AZS and you'll never run into any problems. There's no reason to not bot slayer either.
I am at 100k exp. from 99 woodcutting, and OSRS Membership For Sale was just going to get an Saradomin sword. So I thought I'd decide to create a topic on this forum and find out what the views of all members are on whether I should invest in the ss, or the BGS which is priced in the same range currently. I have a whip and dragon defender right now, but I can't train to build strength using them. I'm a fan of 2h weapons. Also, I do pretty much exactly the same way using an ss, as I do with the whip.
