The destiny of NA PSO2, will follow exactly the same problem that the english community has that played with PSO2 in Japan. When everybody has everything, a feeling of elitism will grow, that demands DPS and high stats. There won't be anything else once you've achieved that. PSO2 could have been more, but is just as barebone since PSO1. The sole exception customization, weapon actions, jumping and dashing. Everything else is exactly the same. It is RNG established MMORPG and a grindy and material in PSO2 is.
To prove however I do have a special place in my heart for PSO2, I have created and grinded 12 personalities to Lv90, each having a class that another personality did not have, to really do everything there's to be completed in there, and it saddens me that the only thing I return to, is if the level cap goes straight up, do mind numbing grinding on all my 12 characters (9 of that have subclasses that need to level up as much, so on might say, 20 classes to grind), then, I'll have nothing to do that again. The MMORPG can essentially be performed solo, and you may almost never find a reason to group up and play other people, unless you're simply the kind that is either bored, or doesn't mind giving up their own time to progress to accompany somebody else.
Thus, I can't help but see a lot of misconception going around here concerning the NA variant that is forthcoming, figured I would handle a few of them since a lot of info is scattered throughout the area. Remember that these should not be considered complete fact.Phantasy Star Online 2's Beginning At Episode 4 This misconception stems from the fact that Phantasy Star Online 2's site says there are"Nine classes to choose from". On the other hand, the data of the website was for the Closed Beta. Additional evidence came from a current follow-up"here's things you need to know more about the Closed Beta" (same Tweet that supported the dub) tweet that essentially said,"There could be 9 classes to choose from" (in the Beta). This does not automatically mean that Phantasy Star Online 2 customer was rolled back just that portions of Phantasy Star Online 2's content was locked temporarily.
We do not understand where Phantasy Star Online 2 will be starting, but we should not leap to conclusions based on the amount of classes. In case it turns out to be Episode 4? Feeling fine. We won't get Collabs but I want to give some insight using a Phantasy Star game. Phantasy Star Portable two was when SEGA of Japan began doing collabs similar to what they'd do with PSO2. After Phantasy Star Online 2's Western launch came to be, SEGA of America did figure out how to negotiate for certain collabs to remain... in fact, ALL the anime collabs stayed, the only ones that had to be eliminated were those based on brands and even so most of them were just rethemed (Pizza Hut items had their Pizza Hut logo and title removed, Fanta collab became a pair of generic juice themed items).
PSO2 MIGHT face some challenges due to its age and general relevancy of certain collabs. For example, a MH Frontier occasion for the NA version does not make sense. 7 Eleven collabs may not make it to the NA version. However SEGA collabs (which will comprise Miku because they have Phantasy Star Online 2 rights for her) are here to remain and some Anime and Games can be re-negotiable so we are going to have to see. (Also I'd like to explain Phantasy Star Online 2 rights to anime don't have to call for the dubbing company, so if state... SEGA wanted an Evangelion
