Psyonix is getting rid of Rocket League's carton framework

Psyonix is getting rid of Rocket League Items carton framework, which is better known by the business standard term "plunder box." It's a type of randomized microtransaction - in-game betting that costs $1 per box and rewards the player with a riddle thing of fluctuating extraordinariness.

In a concise declaration post, the designer says "Here at Psyonix, and Epic Games in general, we are committed to making the most ideal experience for our players everywhere on over the world. In quest for that objective, in the not so distant future we will eliminate all paid, randomized cases from Rocket League Trading, supplanting them with a framework that shows the specific things you're purchasing ahead of time."
