Lost Ark is quickly proving to be one of the hottest games of 2022 on Steam, but the game's complex release structure has left many wondering when the simmering game will be fully released and when they can join the millions of people already exploring the game and about which there is so much to tell.
Lost Ark is a Diablo-style ARPG-style MMORPG released in South Korea in 2019. The game has quickly garnered a huge following in the region thanks to its PvP mechanics, rich content offering, cinematic style, and all the other MMO metaphors that usually make people spend hundreds of hours on it.
While Lost Ark has long been playable in Korea and elsewhere, Western players who recently pre-ordered the Lost Ark Founders Pack on Steam were also able to play the game yesterday (February 8). If you decide to buy the Founder's Pack for MMO via Steam, you can play the game right now (each pack contains various in-game bonuses and a pre-release version).
What if you don't want to buy the Lost Ark Founder's Pack but just want to jump into the game once it's out of sneak preview and becomes public and available for free? Well, the good news is that you will soon have the opportunity to do just that.
The Lost Ark will be released on February 11th as a free-to-play game via Steam. You can preload the game (the download size is around 70GB) via the platform right now, but if you're not ready to buy the Founder's Pack in the meantime, you'll have to wait for the title to be fully unlocked before you can start it.
As for the release date...... it's a bit tricky. Ideally, the free version of Lost Ark will be available via Steam on February 11th at the following time.
I say the free release date for Lost Ark is "ideal" because we've seen players struggling to join Lost Ark in time for the sneak preview premiere. Due to crowded servers and some technical issues, many fans had to wait at least a while before playing the MMO. As the game opens to a larger player base on Friday, you may experience similar server issues then.

What about other platforms? Developer Smilegate and Lost Ark's western publisher Amazon Games have yet to announce any plans to port the game to the Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch or Epic Games stores, but as the game will have partial controller support via Steam offers, it's conceivable that someday it might someday be available to a wider audience isn't unreasonable.
In short, if you want to play Lost Ark for free on Friday, you should get going as soon as possible and buy cheap lost ark gold from SSEGold. Otherwise, there's a good chance you'll have to wait longer before actually being able to join.
