i'm amazed that I'm actually blogging. Growing up during those prehistoric days of manual typewriters, when a letter was actually hand written and took weeks to arrive via snail mail, I am truly amazed at the speed of modern communication. Speedy but.... hmm... what about the "quality" of communication? Are we to be the product of short sound bites, of multi-tasking, of "I'm in the middle of something, don't bother me"? thinking? What about slow and reflective thinking, of good medium speed type conversations, humorous and thought provoking repartee like in the old movies. Are there any Katherine Hepburns and Spencer Tracys out there? And consider the word "blog", How unromantic does that sound? Would you say to your sweetheart, "darling you have the lovliest blog I've ever seen" or "honey, would you like to blog tonight?" I'm all for keeping up with the latest technology, more speedy than Speedy Alka Seltzer...that's today's world, I suppose. So happy blogging everyone! Excuse me... it's time to watch an old movie.
