A chuckle at their Panthers is the correct response after their lengthy fling with Baker Mayfield finally resulted in the trade. Carolina's insipid approach to their QB spot seemed to be couched more in saving their own egos rather than seeking to sustain results, initially attempting to trade Deshaun Watson for a deal, then being linked to all available QBs in the market, before finally drafting Matt Corral.
There's something truly hilarious about a team that has the No. 1 . and the No. 3 picks of the 2017 Madden NFL 23 Draft, each of them quarterbacks. But neither has met expectations.
