One of D2R Items the features we have in all our IP is, each one of them is built and designed to support more than just various platforms, but different types of games and kinds of game.
Here's an example of that. If you think about Warcraft, one of our most famous IP that has been around for a long time, it has played a massive MMO and has also supported real-time strategy games, as well as been a collector's game.
They are, therefore, very different types of games that have emerged from the same IP, and we believe that there's plenty of potential to create games, various genres of games, in our current IP. But, I'm sure you're taking on a piece of player perception and expectations when you're discussing the possibility of creating an entirely new game for any new platform, certain.
Is that kind of model that is sustainable or viable as a business model? It's possible that something like Diablo is in existence due to the lengthy phase of having Titan developing, tweaking it, with the ups as well as ups and downs in development. The end result several years later is a game with an enormous and powerful presence. But are you able to keep the same cycle for every project?
I don't know that we at Blizzard have any other choice than to proceed this way. I'm not convinced that there's an alternative for Blizzard. We are convinced that the team's leadership needs to believe and have an idea for something they believe could be great. It's an extremely bottom up method of conducting things.
Blizzard isn't known to have a record of Mike [Morhaime], me or someone else on the top of the chain commenting, "Hey, Blizzard should start making, insert kind of game." That's not the way Blizzard works. It's a team of developers who are truly passionate about one particular concept or specific genre is given the opportunity to cheap D2R Ladder Items develop and experiment to create something we think is great. This has always been, and that's how it is today.
