In Sony's latest budget presentation

In Sony's latest budget presentation, it clarified that D2R Items games for PS4 will cease to exist in 2025. It doesn't mean, however, that old PS4 games will no longer be available for purchase. However, Sony intends to be done with releasing new titles on the platform by this time.

Instead, by 2025, Sony has projected that the majority of its revenue for games will come out of PlayStation 5, with titles on PC as well as mobile bringing up the remaining portion of its revenue.

In general, this probably shouldn't be too surprising given that the PS5 will be Sony's primary area of focus in the months to come. Yet, it's important that even at this moment that the PS4 is a platform Sony is still developing and releasing games for. In fact, this year's biggest PlayStation title, God of War Ragnarok, is still expected to be available on PS4 whenever it does arrive.

In the near future, Sony will likely end by making a larger announcement about the PS4 as well as the conclusion of its life cycle. As we've learned however, this announcement will likely be buy diablo II resurrected items announced prior to 2025, so be sure to prepare accordingly.
