How to Play Lightning Skills Effectively Early in Diablo 4

If you’re new to a Lightning build in Diablo 4, it’s normal to feel like your damage is weak at first. This is because your character needs certain stats, especially Lucky Hit and Critical Strike Chance, to max out the build's strength.

You won’t have much of these stats when starting a seasonal character, so don’t get discouraged. Around level 30, when you have about 25% crit chance from gear, your Lightning skills will suddenly become very powerful Diablo 4 Items.

To survive and deal damage early, consider using Incinerate or playing on easier difficulties. Your main skills to use include Destructive Chain Lightning for damage and Glinting Spark to keep your Mana up.

Use Mystical Teleport to move quickly and avoid danger, and activate Shimmering Ice Armor to protect yourself. When facing tough bosses or large enemy groups, Supreme Unstable Currents is your best friend.
