MMOEXP POE2:PoE 2 The Mad Wolf of Ogham: Step-by-Step Quest Guide

In Path of Exile 2, Act 1’s The Iron Manor emerges as a fortress of rusted metal and lingering dread—and it is here that The POE 2 Currency Mad Wolf of Ogham unfolds, a quest that blends frantic combat, environmental puzzle-solving, and a tragic tale of corruption. Nestled between the Whispering Woods and the Frostspire Pass, this decrepit manor is no mere residence: it is a prison for a once-noble soul, twisted into a beast by dark magic, and players must navigate its halls to unravel the chaos.

The quest kicks off with a desperate plea from Brenna, a servant hiding in the manor’s overgrown courtyard. She reveals that Lord Ogham, the manor’s master, has been cursed by a “blood moon ritual,” transforming into a ravenous wolf-like creature that now hunts the remaining staff. To break the curse, Brenna begs players to find three Moonlit Incense Sticks—hidden in the Manor’s Library, Armory, and East Wing—and use them to weaken the Mad Wolf before confronting him.

The first Incense Stick lies in the Library, where shelves of rotting tomes teem with possessed pages that lash out at intruders. Players must dodge these spectral attacks while locating a hidden compartment behind a crumbling portrait of Lord Ogham. Next, the Armory presents a different challenge rusted suits of armor animate into hostile guards, forcing players to balance offense with evasion to claim the second Incense Stick. The final fragment, in the East Wing, requires solving a simple puzzle—aligning three lunar symbols on a stone altar—to unlock a chest holding the last stick.

Once all three Incense Sticks are lit at the manor’s central altar, the air shimmers, and the Mad Wolf of Ogham bursts through the great hall’s doors. This boss fight is a test of timing: the wolf lunges with brutal claw strikes, and periodically summons spectral wolves to distract players. The key to victory is dodging the lunges and focusing fire during the brief windows when the Mad Wolf pauses to roar. Defeating him breaks the curse, revealing Lord Ogham’s weakened, human form—who rewards players with Ogham’s Silver Dagger, a weapon that deals extra damage to undead, and a map leading to a hidden treasure in the Frostspire Pass.

More than just a combat-focused quest, The Mad Wolf of Ogham explores themes of loss and redemption, showing how even the noblest can fall to darkness—and how courage can lift them back. For Act 1 players, it is a thrilling detour that rewards both skill and curiosity, cementing The buy POE 2 Orbs Iron Manor as one of PoE 2’s most memorable early-game locations.
