Walking the talk
It's easy to say you support the troops, plenty of people simply mouth the words as a platitude. Sometimes you see a really good example though and most of the time that also tells you about that person. Marco Rubio is one of the good guys and I can't...

Howe and Howe Tech
Warrior Legacy Foundation has a dynamo up in Maine running our Wounded Heroes program named Pam Payeur. I went up there last Summer for a fundraiser for WLF and she had gotten the Howe & Howe brothers to bring our some of their toys. Pretty amazing...

Beyond COIN v. CT or COIN + CT: An Emerging Third Position
How many troops do we need in Afghanistan? Yesterday's publishing of State Department officer's letter of resignation brought us a practical expression of a theory: essentially, that the unified insurgency would collapse if we weren't there...

Searching for Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl
I had not seen this web site before - Bring Bowe Home The family appears to have put up a website to show how much they miss Bowe. This seems to be a newer, more simple layout than just the previous FB page they had. The family looks to be reaching out...

A Book You Should Buy...
As noted below by Blackfive hisownself, you should save your money by not buying a certain book that gets a righteous beatdown by Jonn at This Ain't Hell. What you should do, instead, is look at buying this book. You help a good guy -- and vet --...

"I would have done the exact same thing."
Greyhawk points us to a milblogger who is writing about his experiences in Afghanistan. He is honest in just the way that a milblogger ought to be: The passenger bus came from the rear at a high rate of speed and the soldiers engaged the vehicle with...

Nancy Pelosi is a liar - Murtha should not have a ship named after him
Nancy Pelosi said this about why the US Navy should name a ship after the late Congressman John Murtha.Murtha — “our dear Jack,” as Pelosi referred to him — deserved the honor as a tireless advocate for troops generally and Marines in particular, she...

Green Hornet, Heh.
Greyhawk is slinging the snark and the Navy has put the target on themselves, although I kinda doubt it was their idea. We could have posted this yesterday, but held off due to concerns it might be seen as an April Fool's joke. But the new Green Navy...
