Some of you know that embeds take money. I'll get into that more in the series on preparing for an embed, but the fact is there is at least $10k out of pocket to get ready to go. Sponsorships are nice, but donations can and do make the difference. While you will get photos, video, and stories at some point in the future, why shouldn't you get something now? #1/100 909, Blue Skies Forever Several years back, I did a series of 11x14 signed numbered prints, and gave #1 of each to my parents. Since they are gone, I am offering them as follows: The first person donating $1,000 or more will get the #1 print of Blue Skies Forever, seen above. This B-17 was touring the country as part of a living aviation history project of the Collings Foundation. Promise The first person donating $750 will get the #1 print of Promise. Years ago, some friends took me to an out of the way spot in Montana and told me the tale of the town of Gallatin. This town was at the headwaters of a river, got all the river traffic and was effectively the gateway to the West. However, the town got into a range war with another town that got this newfangled thing called the rail road. My friends lived in that town, Bozeman, and this was most of what was left of the formerly mighty town of Gallatin. The storm had just blown through, and gave some incredible lighting and color. The first person donating $500 will receive #1 of Golden Fire. Again, storms provided both amazing color and dramatic background for the shot. The first two people to donate $250 will receive an autographed move poster from Brothers At War. You can see where two of the brothers have signed in the photo, and I will note that the signatures are in different places on each of the two posters. Any takers? Frames are not included, but if you really want them, let me know. Yes, these are donations to CwtT and are therefore donations to charity. The embed is being done as part of the Frontline Support program, to document conditions at the front, and share news and stories about our troops with those at home. LW
