In related news, fleas threaten dog and gnat issues warning to horse. But hey, who am I to mock some rattling of sabers butter knives. As McQ noted below, here is the threat that has US naval forces cowering. "I advise, recommend and warn them (the Americans) over the return of this carrier to the Persian Gulf because we are not in the habit of warning more than once," the semi-official Fars news agency quoted Salehi as saying. Oh please, please, please take a shot at one of our carriers. I can't think of a more perfect provocation, and a more entertaining retaliation, that is if we even let them get the shot off. I mean we have Mav and Goose and Slider and Iceman flying cover, right? Oh wait they are gonna attack w/ some wicked speed boats kinda like the SEALs use, only filled with bearded douchebags and crappy underpowered little toy rockets. I mean seriously guys, you can do it. Bring it on, it will only hurt for a second then on to paradise and your 72 goats. The odds are against even the Iranians being this dumb, but you never know. If they do try anything, we would have just cause to sink their boats, but more importantly a chance to bring some scunion to their nuke program. That is what this little maritime pas de deux is really all about. They are puffing up their little bird cage chests to try and avoid actual sanctions from us and some of the Euros. The fact that they are running this scared suggests they are in enough economic trouble that the sanctions could have some effect. If that actually stopped their efforts to build a Jooooo-frying device, I would be tickled pink. I still kinda doubt that. So if they would oblige us by lobbing some bottle rockets at the USS Stennis, that would open the door to turning some of their evil scientist activities into rubble that doesn't make trouble.
