He took offense to an institution of "higher" learning supporting those who choose to spend their lives in the wholesale slaughter of innocents selfless sacrifice needed to make this crappiest planet I have ever lived on a decent place. I think his wankitude is solidly established, so I am not gonna waste a lot of time on this. And I think it is unfair to taint all law profs with this loser's bilge, but too many academics believe and teach this so let me make this crystalline. We could have a much better society and "Rule of law" absent law professors than absent soldiers. Period. The law is nothing absent the rough men standing ready to do violence on the sleeping populace's behalf. I simply cannot recall the last time a sentence chock full of wherases and heretofores leapt off the pages of a big dusty book in the back of the law library, fast roped off a helicopter in the dark of night and shot a mass-murdering scumbag in the eye. Nope, all that gobbledygook is just a job security program for the high priests and guildmasters of "The Law" who deign to interpret the sacred texts in ways that make near zero sense to us uneducated rabble. Yeah well sorry if we notice the fact that you have taken some of the most simple concepts imaginable and made them so stunningly dense that nothing even vaguely resembling "common" sense can be ascertained from your weighty tomes. So STFU Professor Avery and feel lucky that we who actually keep the peace and enforce the law do so irrespective of the relative worthiness of those protected. 'Cuz if we applied that measure I have a feeling you would be out on the street with the Occupy losers you helped educate.
