So President Obama has decided that he must opine on the jobs crisis and he and his political tools, oops I guess that is redundant, the WH political machine chose to request a Joint Address to Congress. Given his lack of any policies implemented in this area or really even suggested, that is pretty bold. But if fits right in as part of his re-election campaign so they are driving on. His message as usual will be "Don't blame me, it is those evil Republicans" which is even funnier when you recall his team owned the House, Senate and White House for two years and did nothing even vaguely helpful. Now that the Repubs own one of those well it is obviously their unwillingness to bankrupt us that is the problem. But that pathetic toolsmanship is not even the truly luscious part of this latest lameness. You see O and his lackeys asked to speak to Congress on the same night that the Republicans are having a debate to pick who will replace him. Now there is a shocker, Mr. Civility bigfooting all over the other team. And this debate will feature Rick Perry who has rocketed to the top of the polls and unlike Obama has actually presided over a job-creating rather than a job-destroying regime. So politics couldn't have played a part in this could it? Of course not. Well since the American people saw fit to retake control of the people's house and that means John Boehner has to agree to allow Obama to be such a complete boor and bore. Well he decided that maybe it was time to teach Barry some manners and give him a lesson in political hardball. he sent back a polite letter that basically said "Hey Barry great idea to get involved after three years of golf and wasting our money, but we are kinda busy on that day. Why don't you drop by the next night. Love John.". Seems fairly straightforward, but if you happen to be an NFL fan and especially if you are part-owner of the World Champion Green Bay Packers you can see the brilliance of the move. You see that night is the NFL opener with the Packers playing the Saints. So Barry goes from stomping on the the Republican debate to yapping to the members of Congress and nobody else. Heck I expect Joe Wilson to stand up and shout "You Lose". The NFL can surely take the viewership hit when the two folks in America who think Obama is more important than football tune in to his substance-free blathering. Barry gets a rightly deserved slap in the face when America watches something far more important than his leadership from the rear. Well played Speaker Boehner. well played.
