Some more good news on terrrorist interrogations

Another sign of our lack of seriousness to fight terrorists whenever we can find them. Reporting from Washington— He's considered one of world's most dangerous terrorism suspects, and the U.S. offered a $1-million reward for his capture in 2005. Intelligence experts say he's a master bomb maker and extremist leader who possesses a wealth of information about Al Qaeda-linked groups in Southeast Asia. Yet the U.S. has made no move to interrogate or seek custody of Indonesian militant Umar Patek since he was apprehended this year by officials in Pakistan with the help of a CIA tip, U.S. and Pakistani officials say. Now Obama has managed to renege on almost all of his campaign promises around national security, so maybe we can shine some light on him about this sorriness. U.S. officials say they expect the CIA will be given access to intelligence gleaned from Indonesia's interrogations of Patek, and may even be allowed to sit in and provide guidance, given the close ties between U.S. and Indonesian counter-terrorism officials. But that is not the same as controlling the questioning, critics say. "Having access to someone in someone else's custody is never the same as setting the conditions of their interrogation," said a congressional aide who is briefed on intelligence issues but who was not authorized to speak publicly. Well there you have it, we will sit safely in our cubes at Langley and wait for our nice (majority Muslim country) friends in Indonesia to send us along some dispatches about this guy. And maybe if we are extra good, they will let us sit in and watch while they chat with him. How awesome is that? The article mentions how the CIA has pretty much washed its hands of the whole gathering intelligence from known terrorists business because of Obama and his howling mobs of anti-waterboarders. Well congratulations you chimps, now our premier INTELLIGENCE GATHERING AGENCY is too scared to gather its own intelligence. C'mon Barry, you have already alienated your Move-On cohorts and this is quite obviously a national security issue, cry havoc and let slip the dogs of mild US interrogation tactics all of which are published publicly for our enemies to see. Pussified is the only way to describe our position on this and far too many other aspects of our battle against the Islamists.
