There are many people doing their parts to help make sure that all our veterans and their families are taken care of. We try to point them all out, and please keep letting us know what is going on. Homes for Troops has been helping out some of our vets in my home state. I received your information from one of my Seabees - Richard Kormanik reference the home for the wounded Marine. The build in Mukwanago was amazing! Homes for Our Troops is an awesome organization and does wonderful things for our returning, wounded heroes. The company is based out of Massachusetts and works with contractors and construction companies in the local areas where vets will be setting. This last one came without much notice (about 3 weeks from the first e-mail). If you go to http://www.homesforourtroops.org/site/PageServer you can register with them and start receiving e-mail notices of upcoming builds. In the case of the Mukwonago build, the primary contractor is Burback Builders out of Muskego (www.burbackbuilders.com). You can also sign up on their website and get information of what is scheduled for up-coming work. They are a really good company - good quality work. The shell and skin of the house was completed in about 16 hours over 2 days. Cpl. Jeremy Stengle was there for the entire build as well as a couple of other home recipients from around the US. They bring them in as "ambassadors" of this organization. I was honored to be able to participate, along side my son who is also a Seabee Builder. Let me know if you need any additional information - it's great to know that there are guy like you helping to spread the word about something great like this program. I look forward to helping out when I can and any future builds in the SE Wisconsin (or NE Illinois) area. V/R, John Miller BUC (SCW/SS)NMCB 25 DET 0725NOSC Milwaukee, WI
