I think the two stories I tell that get the most responses are Spanky & the Shark and Habu the Pit Viper. Obviously both involve dangerous animal life, and deranged friends of mine. Spanky and another of the lunatics on the shark hunting expedition have confirmed my account of that mis adventure. I can now announce that the star of Habu the Pit Viper, well the human one, has popped his head back up and we have a second affirmation. Craiggles got to Okinawa nine months or so after I did and came to our team as junior engineer. We had a good rep for being killers at basketball and when he walked in, 6' 4" 220lbs looking like the king from the movie Zulu, we figgered we were set. We were less than thrilled then when he announced that he doesn't play basketball, but he's an excellent skier. Well Woo Hoo buddy, not much skiing in Okinawa. He wasn't lying about either one, so we ended up just putting him under the basket and telling him to just pummel anyone who got close. And once we got back to Ft. Lewis, he damn near killed me every time we went skiing. Well he found some tid bit of the few meager morsels I have posted on the internets and we talked on the phone tonight. He is back up in the greater Seattle-Tacoma metro area and since my daughter is happily standing up for individual liberty at the University of Washington, I gotta go out there and play. I will advise as to that upcoming cataclysm, but for now a tale of man and snake.
