Many of my friends are Marines. To them, honor, courage, and commitment wasn't something they cast aside when they fulfilled their enlistment. They do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it. They improvise, adapt, and overcome. They tell eachother "Semper Fi" when they pass each other in the store. They are the only service member whose title is capitalized. The Marine Corps obviously instills in these men and women something truly special, something different than any service instills in their members. That is not to say that Marines are better than anyone, as we are all on the same team. But I am damn glad to have served alongside my Marine brothers, and proud to call many of them "friend." In order to wish our beloved Marine Corps "happy birthday," I thought we could honor our friends by posting our favorite Marine Corps quote. To start: "Some people wonder all their lives if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem." - Ronald Reagan
