The Air Force Academy did the unthinkable today beating Army, at West Point no less, to secure the Commander in Chief's trophy. WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) -- Tim Jefferson scored twice and hit Jonathan Warzeka on touchdown passes of 53 and 63 yards, and Jordan Waiwaiole returned a fumble 63 yards for another score as Air Force beat Army 42-22 on Saturday to win the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy for the 17th time. Navy had won the past seven CICs, but the Falcons beat the Middies 14-6 in October behind Jefferson's two touchdowns. Saturday's victory gave Air Force (6-4) its first trophy, emblematic of supremacy among the three service academies, since 2002. It also made them eligible for a bowl game. This is made all the more amazing since in anticipation of the repeal of DADT the Air Force has allowed openly gay cadets and even girls to play on their team. The Army Golden Knights have all strapped on their battle gear and are marching on the Republic of Canadia in a vain and ridiculous attempt to regain their honor.
