Because the other one was getting a little long in the tooth, and wouldn't you have guessed that it was this. OK, well maybe it was a little more about me. But it is built on the same frame as her Yukon was and it has things that she doesn't understand like ground clearance, angle of attack, skid-plates, and locking differentials. It will ford 20 inches of water, and even has an on-board air compressor. It does have the three most important features that she was looking for in a car; heated seats, NAV system, and a cup holder perfectly sized for her Starbucks 3 pump chocolate, non-fat, with whip Mocha. Yes, ladies and gents, Household 6 is a bit of a pampered princess. When you spend most of your adult life hanging out around something like this, it just psychologically makes sense to gravitate toward what you know to have your family ride around in. I get to drive it on weekends mostly. And before some of you get off on some "so, Deebow is an elitist now with his fancy pants car, what kind of money are you getting from some liberal George Soros think tank blah blah blah" let me tell you, sound financial management, and not having really any debt leads to getting a smokin' (as in WAY LESS than what they retail for) deal on a lightly used, low mileage, nearly 4 year old Hum-wagon. And no matter what you are doing with it, it gets 12 miles to the gallon (and for you enviro-weenies who love to visit us here to rant and rave, the Chevy Suburban gets 10 MPG) My money, my choice. So if you are out Oregon way, and you think you see me, give the lady driving (or me in the ball cap) a wave and a smile. She is certain to be confused and I promise wave back. God Bless General Motors for making a car like this. I hope they fire their "President and CEO" soon and get rid of that worthless Chevy Volt.
