If I die young bury me in satin Lay me down on a bed of roses Sink me in the river at dawn Send me away with the words of a love song This what our God-King Commander in Chief was doing this week on his umpteenth vacation. This is what the US Marines were doing for one of their brothers who was killed in action. This is a contingent of US Marines escorting Lance CPL Cody Childers from Chesapeake Va. to his final resting place. He was killed in action in Helmand Province while President Obama was on vacation in Martha's Vineyard. The reason that this is so head-splitting-ly maddening to me is that the mental midgets in the state-owned media decided awhile back that the last commander in chief was the worst human being ever because he went on vacation when he had a war to win. So he made the decision to stop. Told the media himself that it was somehow not right for him to be doing this. Yet this President is so over worked that he has to constantly be on vacation. Evidently, he can't bothered with a strategy or overseeing a plan without first working on his ground game. And this is a two part problem; the first is a president that pays lip service to the sacrifices of men and women who have greater courage and character than he will ever have. No one I know wonders why West Point cadets fall asleep when he starts prattling on about his notions of what something he does not want to call "Victory" looks like or stares off into space when they are made to stand in formation while he reads from the teleprompter words that I know he does not believe about our values and our sacrifices. It is an open secret that the military has very little respect for the CINC. I think they are merely returning the exact same amount they receive. I judge a man by the company he keeps; and him and UBL both know someone who bombed the Pentagon. Personally, I would never accept a medal from this man. And the second problem is a media propaganda organ that can't stop oogling him long enough to see that they are boarding the rocket sled to irrelevance. All of the sycophants like Olbermann, Contessa Brewer, the entire on air staff at The View, CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS and just about every major news publication are not only lacking in doing their duty, they are abdicating their constitutional role to hold leaders to account for their actions in our free society. By allowing their bias to overrule their common sense, they are missing a golden opportunity to be relevant and solvent by asking the questions I would ask, if I ever were allowed to ask a question of the president. "Mister President, When was the last time you and Michelle went to visit wounded soldiers at Walter Reed?" "Mister President, don't you think that, like your predecessor, that is seems a bit heartless to play golf while there are families who worry about their loved ones in service to our nation overseas?" "Mister President, have you met with the family of Lance CPL Cody Childers?" "Mister President, when will you take your next vacation and will you meet with you General Petraeus before you do?" There is a reason why no one is watching them or buying copy, and the main reason is that the American People know the truth about this guy. They know the CINC doesn't give rat's rear end about 'the good war" that he railed on about during the campaign. They also know that men like Cody Childers are greater men than he will ever be. They know what "Victory" looks like and they do things like visit the wounded at Walter Reed. And they have voted with their TV remotes, wallets and feet by running the other direction away from the propaganda arm that supports whatever you do, regardless of how it looks to others. Mr. President, with elections in November and in 2012 looming large on the horizon, the time for honoring yourself with repeated vacations and Nobel Peace Prizes will soon be at an end. God Bless men like Cody Childers for giving his last full measure so that my family can sleep at night in peace, and prayers for his family; because they surely need them now.
