Military Tribunal at Gitmo cruising along

Hmmmm who woulda thunk it, a military tribunal at Gitmo. I mean that's just crazy, we must move this immediately to NYC or DC. It dohttp://www.typepad.com/site/blogs/6a00d8341bfadb53ef00d8341bfade53ef/post/composees seem to be going quite well though. The most damning prosecution evidence against Omar Khadr is admissible at his trial and not the product of torture, the military judge in the Canadian-born terror suspect's case ruled yesterday. Khadr is the youngest member of a jihadist family and he is on trial for killling an SF troop w/ a grenade. The entertaining part is the pathetic claims that his confessions were from torture, and the evidence that fails to even get near that. The judge ruled a video apparently showing the suspect making and planting land mines is admissible, rejecting the defence argument it was obtained based on information coerced from him.... In the February 2008 affidavit, Mr. Khadr, 23, alleged guards mistreated him during the weighing session, claiming they "pressed on my pressure points." The clip appears to show the guards acting with restraint as they push him toward the scale and point out all his "brothers" -- a reference to other detainees -- had been weighed without protest. I can feel a slight bit of sympathy for this kid who was indoctrinated his whole life, and then it's gone as i recall he killed in pursuit of his barbaric religion. Uh buh bye Omar.
