Team Rubicon in Thailand Saving Lives

http://teamrubiconusa.org/blog Hit the link above to read about Team Rubicon's training mission to Thailand. Here's a taste: ---------------------- One Hour on the Ground, One Life Saved Within an hour after arriving at the small settlement where TR will conduct training, Team Rubicon’s medics were asked to look at a 5 day old baby presenting with a severely distended abdomen. Team leader Bob Thomman examined the infant and diagnosed a hernia. Dr G was then called in to confirm the diagnosis, which he did and then skillfully repaired. Dr. Geelhoed fixed the hernia relieving the pressure and ultimately saving the child’s life.... ------------------- One of the aspects about TR that I like the most is that donations to TR go directly to efforts to save lives. 3500 in Haiti. 500 in Chile. And now in Thailand for training (and for building relationships if disaster hits that part if the world). Another taste of a post on the blog: ------------------- ...The orphans don’t choose to live in the orphanage any more than the Karen choose to live here, they’re both forced to adapt or perish. The lives of the orphans and the Karen are not idyllic even though the setting for them might be. Knowing that the team will leave this community a better place than it found it makes me very happy, it should make all of you really happy too... -------------------- Go check out the good work of Team Rubicon. http://teamrubiconusa.org/blog/
