Treason Doth Never Prosper....

Treason doth never prosper: what's the reason? Why if it prosper, none dare call it treason. Sir John Harrington 'The man who fights against his own country is never a hero.' Victor Hugo And so goes the story of how one man, in a conspiracy with others, have most certainly landed a vicious and decisive blow against our soldiers who are fighting in Afghanistan. A blow that will take some time to recover from, if we ever really will competely recover from. It makes me blood lustfully angry because this affects some of us in a way that PFC Manning and Wikileaks may never know. Julian and PFC Manning have conspired to engage in conduct that not only harms our war effort, but actually harms Afghans helping to get the Taliban thrown out of Afghanistan, as has been detailed on this blog already. As many of you know, I served in Afghanistan in 2006 and 2007. Much of the intelligence that I collected was passed to units in the 10th Mountain Division, such as the 2-87 Infantry, who we operated with constantly. I am quite certain that my name, and the names of intelligence sources we used, village elders we spoke to, centers of gravity for our AO, and our names as well are in those documents. This traitorous act only inspries me really to say one thing to these two sub-human piles of excrement who have obvious murderous intent with the release of this intel into the open: Run and Hide.... And maybe it is just me and a touch of the PTSD, but now I think I have to have the internal conversation about the faint worry that the car outside my house for the last three days with the two guys in it might be something to worry about (or it could be the Secret Service, as I have made my opinion plain on how I feel about the CINC). I have no room in my heart for forgiveness for PFC Manning. I will not forgive someone who clearly didn't think of the danger he was putting others in and just exactly how much damage he would be doing to our efforts in the ATO. He ought to have thought about the fact that there are quite a few less appeals in the Military Justice system for the death penalty, and I am certain that the gallows still work at Ft. Leavenworth. I hope he gets it. I want the military justice system to set an example. When this PFC decided to become a traitor, he chose to be a murderer. He chose to put choice of himself over the choice of others and the larger goal. Quite simply, he chose himself over his country, and that is NOT an Army Value. Loyalty and Fidelity are two values that not only I, but many in the military place above all other values. Units that go farther and fight harder than others have codified it with phrases in their creed like "Never shall I fail my comrades" and "I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country." Unfortunately, the 15 minutes of infamousness that this is giving this guy and Julian Assange is going to be much longer and a great deal more deadly as the Taliban hit the Internet to look up the newest targets on their list. When Julian decided to post this information, I agree with Uncle J that this guy should be moved to the top of the unlawful combatant list and targeted immediately for termination with extreme prejudice. I hope that someone in the CIA has a changed a Keyhole Tasking and is moving a Predator assignment to a location near him. In case the CIA is looking for someone, my passport is updated and I would blend in nicely in Sweden. Yah. For Sure. And now I read that supporters will be rallying in Quantico on Sunday in support of this pile of crap. I hope all 18 of them have a good time. I will be praying for the safety of the men and women far from home that guarantee their right to assemble and support this traitor.
