The State Department is taking public comment for a report it is preparing on Human Rights within the United States. (H/t: Secrecy News.) Those who wish to comment on how they perceive their human rights being affected by the government may send email to: upr_info@state.gov Two things to remember: First, this report is for international consumption, and nations like China will be critiquing how sincere and honest we are with the process. It's important that we not whitewash any issues, so if you have concerns, send them in. Second, this is an opportunity to show nations like China and Iran that there may be human rights they aren't adequately considering. These are only two suggestions; feel free to write about anything that matters to you. It's important that we, the citizens, and not only the government be involved in determining just what human rights are.
