Uber Pig's policy on leaks and protection of sources

I'm writing this post for a very specific audience. You'll know who you are after having read it. If you have access to privileged or classified information, and wish to disseminate said information for whatever reason -- for example, if you know a third party organization full of deluded, self-important cowards such as Wikileaks is in possession of classified materials, and plans to leak those materials in a one-sided, anti-American, and unfair-to-the-troops kind of way -- and you feel the best way to deal with this is by pre-emptively leaking the same, or similar materials to a fair and trustworthy source, and you're wondering if I'd be a good candidate, here is my own policy: 1) Think twice about what you're leaking. If it's classified for a good reason -- it's release jeopardizes current operations, for example -- I will take a dim view of it, and of you. I will not publish anything here, or anywhere else, that in my view jeopardizes current operations. 2) I will never share my source without his or her permission, even if it means going to jail. Unless you violate rule #1. In which case, sorry bud, but you're fair game, and I will crap your name out faster than a Prussian traffic cop on a Krupps shelf commode. 3) Do not expect me to spin the material in the way you would spin it. All I promise is that I'll be more fair than the vast majority of your other options. 4) I doubt the NSA is reading my gmail, but I would be surprised if they do not have that capability. Accordingly, you would be wise to make sure that any information sent to me at enlistedswine at gmail dot com is not traceable to you. For example, if you're a lowly specialist, you should probably find a General Officer's work computer to create a new gmail account, and email the material from that computer. Similarly, if you're a General, find some lowly Specialist's laptop and send it out that way. If you're in Special Forces, go steal an iPad from a Navy Seal. You get the idea. 5) Re-read #1. Kind Regards, -- Uber Pig PS: It appears Wikileaks is preparing a follow up to "Collateral Murder," that deals with the "Granai Massacre," or whatever that is. If you have the scoop on this stuff, send it in now so I can beat them to the punch.
