Alfred Rascon, 1966: Despite critical injuries from using his body to cover his teammates from grenade blasts multiple times, Specialist Rascon continued to provide medical care for his fellow soldiers. He was so badly off that his last rights were read. Paul Bucha, 1968: Singlehandedly destroyed an enemy bunker with grenades, directed medevac helicopters into the LZ at night using flashlights in full view of enemy snipers, and much more over a four-day period.
