For the good news, my campaign to restore honor, integrity and trust back to Illinois’ government as the next State Representative from the 41st District is off to an incredible start thanks to you. On Monday, October 26th I drove in the very early watches to the State Capitol in order to be the first candidate to file nominating petitions, and thanks to your overwhelming support in the first few days of our campaign, we are officially on the February 2nd Republican Primary ballot. Our campaign continues to be extremely well received. My wife, my family and close friends and volunteers have been walking door-to-door with me over the past month and I am honored to have personally met thousands of people in the District. In fact I’ve already worn out a pair of shoes, but that's something I'm (or my feet are) used to from my military days. We have a very strong and dedicated volunteer corps and will continue to meet as many people in the District as we can until the last poll closes. Although we have the right message and momentum on our side, this victory is not going to come easily. I’m taking on four very entrenched politicians who grew up in Illinois’ machine politics and who know how to play “the game” to their advantage. While victory will be hard won (because, after all, Paratroopers are always surrounded), Illinois deserves better and we can’t let them win. For our campaign to be victorious in February, we need to design and distribute thousands of brochures, pay for critical mailings, and create and put up hundreds of yard signs throughout the District.
