According to the FTC, this is a shameless self-promotional plug: The talented (hey, he made me slimmer and less gray!) Damon Shackelford is running a series of strips in support of the upcoming Valour-IT fundraiser. To be honest, you need to go back a couple of weeks and start reading from there as there are several intertwining stories in play. Also, if you aren't reading him every day, why not? How can you not love a strip and site that has as a motto: "There's STRANGE, and then there's ARMY STRANGE." Also, start digging for the loose change and such, for the fundraiser is getting ready to start. Again to appease the FTC, I really have had the honor of presenting some laptops at Walter Reed. Anyone who doesn't get that it is an honor to do so, well... Humbling is also a word I would use. It is humbling to meet some of the recipients and see the determination, and even humor, about their situation. It is humbling to hear from past recipients how much it meant to them, and their determination to pay forward. Now, it's our turn to pay forward and do for those that have given much for us. Those who have put it on the line for our lives, our freedoms, our dreams. It's the least we can do. So, get ready. It starts soon. And while I have a message for the FTC busybodies, I also have a challenge. As far as I can tell, no member of the group that is busy trying to regulate blogs has ever, and I mean EVER, donated to Valour-IT. How about it bozo's, will any one of you step forward on this? Any single one of you capable of walking, or are you just talk. Probably just us, so get ready and let's do for Team ARMY and -- most of all -- our wounded. LW who notes for the record that his sole compensation for this post was being featured younger, slimmer, and less gray in a wonderful strip; that no wolves were harmed in the making of this strip; that taxes, tag, and delivery were not included; and, that he has just begun to ridicule the civil-master-wannabes at the FTC. He also wants to note that you can follow the artist on Twitter @deltaB5 and on Facebook as well. Thanks for doing such a great thing for a great cause.
