Bill Roggio notes more of the help that Iran is offering in Iraq Iraqi police detained a senior member of an Iranian-backed terror group in Sadr City in Baghdad. Paramilitary police from the National Emergency Response Brigade detained Khalid Masur Isma’il, who is also known as Abu Mustafa, during a raid in the Shia slum of Sadr City recently, the US military said in a statement. The exact date of Isma'il's detention was not released. Isma'il served as "financier and recruiter" for the Hezbollah Brigades. Police detained Isma'il based on a warrant issued by an Iraqi court, the military said. Isma'il admitted to managing a security company that is thought to be a front operation for the terror group. The Hezbollah Brigades, or Kata'ib Hezbollah, receives funding, training, logistics, guidance, and material support from the Qods Force. I have difficulty understanding how Iran can be actively involved in killing US troops and we refuse to acknowledge that they are at war or committing acts of terror. This dates back to the Bush regime as well. They knew with absolute certainty that the Iranians were supplying the most dangerous IEDs, training, and even sending Qods Force into Iran, and yet we failed to address this or retaliate. Why? I always expected a couple of explosions at camps where we knew training was happening or even that Revolutionary Guards occupied. A couple of drones, a couple of Hellfires and at least you send the message quit killing our guys. But nothing. I honestly do not understand, well I guess now I do as Obama is ignoring even worse things, the Iranians are doing. But why didn't W do something? Baffles me.
