Well, not exactly. Just busy as all get out this summer. 3 weeks on a carrier in June, a week in Monterey in July, a week in Nova Scotia in August, a week here, another week there. Heading for a week in Orlando (work/business) later Sept. I'll get back up to speed and get back in everyone's good graces! The TRUMAN trip in June was, in a word, fan-freaking-tastic. First time back on a carrier at sea in 15 years. Aside from no Tomcats and no Hoovers (S-3s), things hadn't changed in the least. The ship and strike group were out for their Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMTUEX), so we were flying nearly every day for about 12 hours. Standing 20 feet away from from a fighter in full afterburner again was music to this old aviator's ears - even if it *was* only a Hornet! I'll get back to a more regular posting regine - hopefully - now that things have calmed down a tad. Nice to see everyone again! Avast, y'all!
