Armed Liberal from Winds of Change is in town for some work of his own as well as a couple of things he is working on with our SOG Media. Since we needed a break from all the scheming of global domination, he decided I needed some culture so we went to the National Gallery of Art. We looked at the modern art professional ink-splotching with amazing titles like "untitled". Then we saw the Picassos, and Cezannes and Mattises, and Whistlers many of which were very cool. But the real cool stuff was in the exhibition "The Art of Power". A collection of paintings and armor from the 1500-1600 era. The gear of Emperor Charles V, King Phillip II and some others. Awesome. Plus that counts as culture so I can check that off my list for this year. This helmet was Charles V's and we both thought it was funky that the ear has a hole for an earring.
