The intrepid, imperturbable and irascible yours truly, Mr. Wolf, will be heading to Louisville, KY tomorrow to join in on the American Legion's 91st convention. Blackfive was contacted to send a rep(s) to the convention at the invitation of the National Commander and his staff. This is a high honor, indeed. The Legion asked us (via BlackFive, WLF, and SOG Media) to come and cover the convention as a part of its new 'reach' into New Media. Mark Seavey, legislative liaison for the Legion, has been working on increasing the Legion's exposure and access into New Media, and those of us at BlackFive have been invited to give them some advice and assistance. We gladly accepted and are willing to help however, whenever. The Legion, with a great assist by Mr. Seavey, have stepped up the game as of late to defend veterans, their rights, and their care. During the convention, and just before, we'll be taking a look at the 'inner workings' of the Legion and its staff as it prepares for the convention. I'll be blogging from the floor, as well as within meetings (where they let me) to get an idea as to how decisions are made, as well as demonstrate how the New Media opens up access to their members in ways never before envisioned. I'm excited as heck about this. If you have any requests, or, if you are in the Louisville area, drop a note in the comments. I hope to meet up with you! Watch your tweets as well- I primarily tweet at @warriororg, but will add @sogmedia and @blackfive (if possible). There's going to be a LOT of activity, given the current political climate. You.Can.Bet. Hooah! Mr. Wolf
