Today's Medal of Honor Moment for 25 July

Argghhh!
A very light day for the Medal. Only three have been awarded for actions on 25 July. We open with the Civil War and a trooper who hunted down and killed a General.  Admittedly, a fantasy for many soldiers over the aeons, this trooper got the Medal for it. LUCAS, GEORGE W. Rank and organization: Private, Company C, 3d Missouri Cavalry. Place and date: At Benton, Ark., 25 July 1864. Entered service at: Mt. Sterling, Brown County, Ill. Birth: Adams County, Ill.
