Because I'm paid to, among other things. Given the state of Egypt... what form of security is there along the canal? Both Egyptian and our own... I look at this, and think to myself, "Self, if I know how fast the ships go, and I can track their progress along the canal, I can then figure out my trigger point and pre-compute data to drop 5 or six mortar rounds on that big, flat deck strewn with airplanes... and that might be fun.
