We artillerymen have been happy to have you all standing to attention saluting as they played our song all these years. I guess this is intended to make so much noise we won’t be able to hear ourselves as we follow along with the proper lyric (which, I would note, extols combined arms virtues…).
And people keep saying the words are new – they're not. This is the same lyric the song has had for decades. The change is they are directing the troops to use the introduction and to sing the song.
Heh. When your shite is seriously weak, make a visible but easy change, just to get the appearance of being large and in charge.
