And ignorant people reporting about it.
The NRA should fight this just because it's an example of ignorant people wanting to regulate something they are afraid of and clearly don't understand.
They just know it's scary.
And for them, that's enough. Laws based on ignorance are bad laws. Laws based on emotion are bad laws. They rarely, if ever, work as intended, and do tend to grind people up who get swept up in the hysteria.
But that's okay, because, well, it makes the lawmakers feel good about themselves. Their intentions were good. Because, in the end, they're nice people who mean well and that's what really matters, right?
