Navy Names Littoral Combat Ship Gabrielle Giffords

Color me unimpressed with the Navy and their shameless pandering on naming conventions for ships. Nothing against Representative Giffords, in the end, she's far more deserving that The Dead Pirate Murtha, and I rather doubt she asked for the honor. For the record, I don't mind naming carriers after Presidents, but, frankly, I'd rather see our warships have warlike names, or be named for war heroes.
