Say hello to the newest inmate at the asylum, dropped off by the Big Brown Toy Truck yesterday - a M1948 Syrian Mauser, seen here with the Castle's Israeli Mauser.  So far, no direct clashes between the two, though the Syrian did exchange tough words with another Yugo Mauser who challenged it's seniority...   There's a real difference in the smoothness of the actions - the Israeli rifle is much faster and smoother to operate.  I'll try to make some time Saturday to see how well they shoot.
