That deep sigh of relief was from me -- I just got my new LOA (Letter of Authorization). An LOA is the gummint version of the hall pass that allows a contractor the privilege of working in a war -- uhhhhhhhhh -- an area that does not meet OSHA requirements.It also allows me to use the PX and the DFAC, and is supposedly the only thing I'll need to get emergency medical treatment in a military facility.
