...go vote today!
If you *** about the selection of candidates available in the general elections, today is you chance to influence that choice, at least for one party of the other.
I already voted here in Kansas, taking advantage of the early voting process. I did my very first write-in vote, too - for SWWBO, as Republican Party Precinct Committeewoman.
There's some growth for you. When she was younger... she was a Democrat ward-heeler. If you happen to read the Castle and vote in Easton, KS - write in "Mary Donovan!"
Heh. I had to finally declare a party in order to support SWWBO's bid for electoral immortality. I was raised in the auld Army, where officers didn't declare a party affiliation as a matter of custom, as we served whoever sat in the Oval Office.
Then I moved rural, where you are continually fighting the efforts of city folk to impose on your lifestyle (and in some cases, serious costs on you) so that they can indulge their hobbies. I kid you not. It suddenly becomes very important who occupies local offices. I would have registered Republican this year regardless, in order to try to insure someone doesn't make it out of the primary into the general.
