Happy Birthday to us!

Argghhh!
It's appropriate that Flag Day and the Army Birthday are the same day, as the one guards the other.

235 and still kicking in doors and taking down punks. Toss in the occasional rescue and disaster relief for a change of pace. Happy Birthday, US Army! From the Colonial Militias from which we were built... ...to the Continental Line that sprang therefrom...

...to the Regular, Reserve, and National Guard soldiers of today... ...when we were needed, we were there. Hey, it's corny, but it's true.

"When we were needed, we were there,
We were there when we were needed,
We were there;
No, it wasn't always easy,
And it wasn't always fair,
But when freedom called we answered
We were there."
Capt. Kimberly Hampton, from 1st Battalion, 82nd Aviation Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C., was killed when her OH-58 Kiowa Warrior observation helicopter was attacked near the Iraqi town of Fallujah, west of Baghdad.

Proud to have been there, done that, and got several t-shirts to prove it.
