onnecticut Attorney General *** Blumenthal is denying a New York Times report that he routinely lied about his service in Vietnam.
The next line:
"The New York Times story is an outrageous distortion of *** Blumenthal's record of service," Blumenthal's campaign manager, Mindy Myers, said in a statement.
My take: Oh, it's really okay and no big deal beacuse it's a
distortion. Why? Because it wasn't routine, just occasionally...?
Well, we'll learn a little something about Connecticut voters and how they see things, eh?
Of course, on the other side of the aisle, we have Representative Souder, a Republican, resigning over revelations of infidelity, citing as a reason a desire to spare his family the drama. Well and good. We could note other ways he could have spared his family some drama *and* kept his job, but that would just be piling on.
But I gotta pile on, just a bit.
Representative Souder did a little video on the value of abstinence-based sex ed. Filmed with his... um, mistress. Good call on that resignation Congressman.
