Today's Medal of Honor Moment for 20 February

There are six Medals awarded for actions on this day, all during World War II, and three were posthumous awards.  World War II.  This is a stand-out day for recipients, with Jack Lucas, the man who was the youngest Marine recipient of the Medal surviving after jumping on a grenade, Butch O'Hare, after whom the Chicago airport is named, and a crew chief and navigator who earned their wings the hard way.*DAMATO, ANTHONY PETER Rank and organization: Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps.
