You may remember my post from the 25th asking for assistance in obtaining documentation from a Prince Georges County Courthouse in MD to
help out a friend of the family in a custody battle.
I have some terrible news in which a travesty of justice has been wrought upon not only Captain W but the American People. The Criminal Court judge has decided to immediately transfer Captain W's daughter back to Germany and let the German Courts deal with the issue. The ruling was yesterday, and Captain W's daughter is already enroute to Germany in her father's custody.
Captain W wrote in a text message to me moments ago:
... had to pull her out of school and take her to the the office in *** this morning where *** flew in to pick her up. So, yes, he has officially taken back anything good he ever gave me. I am childless except for holidays unless I want to drag this on and mess with their schooling even more. *** has already been flown out. I am barely holding it together. What else can I say? I probably will request deployment so at least it will keep my mind occupied and I will deploy without worrying about the kids. (*** - redacted for OPSEC)
I just can't believe this ruling, since when do we allow foreign courts to decide the custody status of American Citizens? I'm at a total loss....
